Book Returns Policy1. AUTHORIZATION: You must request permission in writing to return books. Please include the original Charles Press invoice number from which you are returning, the titles and quantities of books you would like to return and your reason for returning. No credit will be issued for items returned without prior authorization.
2. RETURN TIME PERIOD: Books may be returned for one year from invoice date. In cases where a book is declared out of print or if an edition is superseded, we will accept returns for 90 days thereafter.
3. PAYMENT: Books must be paid for before you return them. This also means that under no circumstance may you withhold or delay payment because of pending or anticipated returns.
4. CONDITION OF BOOKS: In order to qualify for credit, returned books must be in perfect and resalable condition. We will not issue credit for returned books that are in any way damaged. They will be returned to you, at your expense, and a processing fee will be assessed.
5. PROBLEM WITH YOUR ORDER: If you receive the wrong quantity of books, the wrong titles or damaged books or if you have any other problem with your order, you must notify us within two weeks of your receipt of the order. While we want to be helpful and accommodating when a problem arises, we will not be able to issue credit or replace items unless we hear from you within this 14-day time period.
6. RESTOCKING FEES: Fees may be incurred for the following reasons: if you return more than 80% of an order that consists of six or more books, if you return books that you or your customers have damaged and if you return books for reasons other than overstock (e.g., customer cancellation, ordered wrong book).
7. CREDITS & REFUNDS: We do not issue cash refunds under any circumstances and this includes orders paid for with a credit card. We will issue credits promptly and you may use them toward future purchases. Credits are valid for 2 years from date of issue.
8. SHIPPING YOUR RETURNS: Please pack the books carefully and make certain you use enough packing material to prevent movement and rubbing within the box as we will not issue credit for books that are damaged. All returns must be accompanied by a packing list indicating titles and quantities being returned. Returns will only be accepted if they are delivered, at the customer's expense, to the shipping address listed below.
9. Failure to contact us and/or return books within 48 hours of receipt of your book shipment constitutes acceptance of and agreement to comply with the terms of this policy.
