He is the author of numerous books, including What the Bible Says About the Holy Spirit, The Ultimate Victory and a major study on the Book of Acts.

John S. Hatcher, PhD is Professor of English Literature at the University of South Florida. He is the author of The Ocean of His Words: A Reader’s Guide to the Art of Baha’u’llah, The Law of Love Enshrined, The Purpose of Physical Reality and The Arc of Ascent, as well as a children’s book, a novel and collections of poetry.

William L. Hendricks, PhD, ThD is Director of Baptist Studies and Lecturer in Theology at Brite Divinity School. Formerly Senior Professor of Christian Theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he is the author of The Doctrine of Man, A Theology for Aging and Who is Jesus Christ? among other books on scripture.

Buddhism
Anne C. Klein, PhD is Professor and Chair of the Department of Religious Studies at Rice University. She is the author of four books, including Meeting the Great Bliss Queen: Buddhists, Feminists and the Art of the Self and Knowledge and Liberation: An Epistemological Analysis in Support of Transformative Religious Experience. Dr. Klein is co-director of Dawn Mountain, a Tibetan Buddhist community center and research institute in Houston.

Christian Science
Elaine R. Follis, PhD is Jeanne and George Todd Professor of Religious Studies and Associate Dean of Faculty at Principia College in Elsah, Illinois. She is a contributor to The Anchor Bible Dictionary, writes frequently for Christian Science periodicals and is a practicing Christian Scientist. Dr. Follis is currently researching the history of Christian Science in Germany during the Third Reich.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Richard M. Eyre, a management consultant and writer based in Salt Lake City, holds degrees from Utah State, Brigham Young and Harvard Universities. A prolific author and lecturer, he served as a missionary in New York City and later as a Mormon Mission President in London.

Thomas H. Olbricht, PhD is Distinguished Professor of Religion, Emeritus, at Pepperdine University. Anne Mackenzie Pearson, PhD is Lecturer in Religious Studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where she teaches courses in Indian religion and culture, world religions and women’s role in religion. Dr. Pearson is the author of Because It Gives Me Peace of Mind: Ritual Fasts in the Lives of Hindu Women.

Islam
Jane Idleman Smith, PhD is Professor of the History of Religions at Hartford Seminary. A former Lecturer in Comparative Religion at Harvard Divinity School, she is the author of The Concept of Islam in the History of Qur’anic Studies, the co-author of Islamic Understanding of Death and Resurrection, and the editor of the journal, Women in Contemporary Muslim Society.

Judaism
Rabbi Alan L. Ponn, a graduate of Columbia University and Hebrew Union College, has served congregations in several states, including Temple Beth Shalom in Danville, Virginia. During his rabbinical career he has also worked as a chaplain and a religious columnist.

Daniel E. Lee, PhD, a leading Lutheran scholar, is Professor of Religion at Augustana College. His books include Death and Dying: Ethical Choices in a Caring Community, On the Porch and on the Trail, Hope is Where We Least Expect to Find It and Generations and the Challenge of Justice.

Presbyterianism
Ben Lacy Rose, ThD, DD has served as an Army chaplain and as the pastor of several Presbyterian congregations. A distinguished emeritus professor at the Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Dr. Rose has served in positions of national leadership in the Presbyterian Church. He is also a prolific author and a well-known leader of religious seminars.

Quakerism
Arthur O. Roberts, PhD is Professor-at-Large at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. He is editor of the journal, Quaker Religious Thought and is the author of Tomorrow is Growing Old: Stories of Quakers in Alaska and Messengers of God: The Sensuous Side of Spirituality as well as a theologically reflective autobiography, Drawn by the Light.

Roman Catholicism
Rev. Francis X. Cleary, SJ is Professor of Theology at St. Louis University and scripture columnist for the St. Louis Review. He holds a doctorate in sacred theology from the Gregorian University and a licentiate in sacred scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute. A group and seminar leader in the St. Louis area, Fr. Cleary is also a regional and national lecturer.

Seventh-day Adventists
Robert M. Johnston, PhD is Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. An Adventist missionary for 12 years in Korea and the Philippines, he has traveled extensively in the Far East and is the author of numerous articles in scholarly journals and religious publications.

Unitarian Universalism
George N. Marshall, PhD, DD, former minister and Religious Editor at the Church of the Larger Fellowship in Boston, has served a number of Unitarian-Universalist congregations during his long career. United Methodist Church
James Ivey Warren, Jr., PhD, a graduate of Duke and Glasgow Universities, has served as a Methodist minister and chaplain in Scotland and has had a distinguished teaching career, most notably as Cadwallader Professor of Global Evangelism and the Mission of the Church at Scarritt Graduate School in Nashville. Dr. Warren is the author of Workbook on Vital Evangelism.

Unity
Rev. James Gaither, MA is an ordained Unity minister and Chair of the Department of Metaphysical Studies and Skills at the Unity School for Religious Studies in Unity Village, Missouri. Ordained in 1979, he came to Unity School in 1984 after serving a congregation in Collinsville, Illinois.

Jamsheed K. Choksy,
PhD is Associate Professor of Near Eastern, Iranian and Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University. He is the author of several books, including An Introduction to Zoroastrianiam, Earliest Zoroastrianism, Purity and Pollution in Zoroastrianism and The Avesta: A New Translation of the Zoroastrian Scriptures.
